The author then focuses on the "body sense", which includes the "sense of touch", felt by those who decided to place items in sandplay. A simplified sandplay task was set as the method: The subjects were asked to decide the place of one item in the state of closed eyes (image situation), and then put the item in the same place actually in the state of open eyes (actual situation). They were then interviewed regarding their experiences. One subjects' report was taken up from among 28 subjects. In the image situation, she told with feeling that she felt the item moved autonomously, the subjective sense. Moreover in the actual situation, it was reported that the sense felt in the image situation changed because of the senses of sight and touch. From these reports, it is assumed that there are two sides in body sense, which exert an influence on the process of sandplay. One is an extremely subjective and undifferentiated sense and the other is the differentiated sense, which includes the senses of touch and sight. In conclusion, in the process of sandplay, the body sense with two sides is interactive.
