A simple calculation method of spring back occurred in bending process is useful for products and/or die designs of bent part. Now the spring back is calculated by using the conventional "uniform bending theory". However the result calculated by this theory shows a small value in comparison with the actual spring back. It is the reason that the deformation around the boundary between curvature and flat portion cannot be analyzed because of ignoring shear deformation. A simple and practical equation is induced by the spring back analysis based on "non-uniform bending theory" which is considered the shear deformation approximately. The results calculated by this equation are in good agreement with the results by FEM simulation.
