57.フタクシショウジョウバエ(Drosophila bipectinata)におけるYおよび第4染色体にみられる変異とその地理的分布

In the present study, we have investigated the karyotypes of 111 isofemale strains of Drosophila bipectinata derived from 21 localities in Circum-Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and South Pacific areas. Two types (metacentric and submetacentric) of the Y chromosome and two types of the 4th chromosome have been found. These two types of the Y chromosome and of the 4th chromosome have distinct patterns in C-, G-, and Q-bandings. Each of the two types of the Y and the 4th chromosomes occurs in wild populations inhabiting a definite geographic area, that is, the submetacentric Y and the metacentric 4th chromosomes are found only in Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and South Pacific areas.
