As a result of the investigation of specimens that collected during the survey of the project, "Study on Environmental Changes in the Sagami Sea and Adjacent Coastal Area with Time Serial Comparison of Fauna and Flora" during 2001-2005, and previously have been recorded around Sagami Bay, the occurrence of 59 species including un-identified species of sea anemones from the Sagami Sea is confirmed. Three species, Halcurias carlgreni, Edwardsia sipunculoides and Isadamsia sp. J sensu Uchida & Soyama, 2001 are the new records from the Sagami Sea. The historical review of taxonomic study on Japanese sea anemones is also mentioned in order to show the present data of the fauna of sea anemone around the Sagami Sea.
