• The purpose of this paper is to show why it often happens that the Korean postparticle '〓 [e]' and the Japanese postparticle 'に [ni]' do not semantically correspond to each other on some occasions though they do to each other on other occasions. The analysis I have made here is based on cognitive linguistics.
