• This paper presents an application of the online analytical processing (OLAP) technology to the construction of a statistical database for social information. The paper also discusses investigations into an effective method to realize such an application. The purposes of this research are to provide an open-style OLAP system that can assure consistency with the resource data and to increase the flexibility of data processing with widely used database management technology and optimization algorithms of data grid systems. Attaining these goals would promote the distribution and application of public data grid systems for social information.
