The writer has been in charge of arranging in order microfilms owned by the Criminal Museum of Meiji University for the period from July through August in 2003. The first purpose of this report is to grasp the situation of management of microfilms through preparing catalogue. After the catalogue has been completed, improvement of reference service can be surely expected from now on. The second one is to promote utilization of materials stored in the Museum through drawing up convenient explanatory materials of historical documents introduced not yet. After this work has been ended, investigation activities and perusal of materials in this Museum can be expected to become active from now on. The third one is to explain the summary of this arranging work of microfilm and review the actual situation of preservation of materials in this Museum. In this report I have mentioned also the composition and forming process of microfilm owned by the Museum to get good understanding for its characteristic. In drawing up the catalogue, I have taken compatibility of various past publications by the Museum into my special consideration so that the visitors might be able to utilize materials more easily than before in their referring them. Lastly, I have made some proposals to promote utilization of microfilm owned by the Museum.
