Automatic gesture recognition has been an important focus, as computer use has expanded to almost every area of life. One of the useful and intuitive ways for gesture recognition is a vision based method. However, in practical environment, robust gesture recognition to view change is a big issue. To cope with these problems, the 3D Gesture Descriptor and Projected Motion Template are proposed in this paper. The proposed method is very stable for the dynamic viewpoints environment and runs in real-time so that it can be implemented in various applications.
