• A quite simple but useful analytical approach for a chemical wave segment with free ends stabilized by using a negative feedback control algorithm is presented. By integrating a reaction-diffusion equations we are able to find an approximated analytical expression for understanding the characteristics of the segment. We discuss the linear stability of the segment by the approximated expression.
