In this paper, we will present a path generation method and a position detection method by RF-ID chip for the backward automatic driving in the parking system. The accuracy of location information from RF-ID chip plays an important role in the presented parking system. As is well known, the function of RF-ID is the same as that of bar-code. Therefore, the automobile cannot receive expectable precise location information from RF-ID chip array. Under these conditions, in order to realize the automatic parking system, a method for assignment of detection antennas on the automobile and RF-ID chip array is presented. Also, a control system which makes the vehicle follow the generated path is described In the control system design, a non-linear control system design problem can be transformed into a linear control system design problem by setting the vehicle attitude angle as the controlled variable.
