This paper deals with the optimal filtering problem for the systems governed by coupled parabolic partial and ordinary difrerential equations. In order to derive the filter and covariance equations, the states of each subsystem are collected. So the original coupled systems are converted to One system described by the extended partial differential equations. Based on Wiener-Hopf theory, the filter equations for the new extended systems are firstly derived. Then the filter equations for the original coupled systems are obtained by separating those equations. Using this method, the filter equations for the coupled system may be more easily derived.
