Numerical solutions of nonlinear two-dimensional magnetoconvection in a Boussinesq fluid, a Rayleigh-Benard convection in a vertical magnetic field described by a system of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), near a critical Rayleigh number are studied using the pseudo-spectral method. In the wide roll of the aspecto ratio λ=8 with the viscous Prandtl number σ=0.5, for the parameters of strong magnetic field (Q=500), the magnetic Prandtl numver γ=0.7 and the Rayleigh number γ≥1.47γ_c(γ_c: critical), and for Q=600, γ=0.1, and γ≅γ_c, a few large-scale convection rolls appear due to a kind of modulational instability. Perturbative vertical magnetic fields, swept out by strong convection, are localized and would be explained by Ginzburg-Landau type amplitude equations.
