The present study aims at presenting a practical guide to teaching English through literature. Several perspectives are presented concerning what to teach in English language classes, as well as how, and why to adopt literary materials. These perspectives were tested on high school seniors whose attitude toward, and interest in learning English were found to improve through these practices.
