In this paper I discuss Japanese infinitive-derived nouns, e.g. "NAGARE" derived from "NAGARERU", "HIKARI" derived from "HIKARU". Though this word-formation is established as morphological rule, recently we can find new infinitive-derived nouns. Some of them have new meaning, e.g. "NOMI". Some of them are newly made, e.g. "OKI". We can find many examples on WWW. network.
