Luminaires with high frequency (Hf) fluorescent lamps are used widely for various facilities due to their high effects in energy saving. Conventionally, luminaires of a line type, round or compact Hf fluorescent lamps, with design features suited to the characteristics of these lamps. Recently, square Hf fluorescent lamps have been developed as a new variation. This paper presents some luminaires using square Hf fluorescent lamps, intended for use in offices, housing or stores.
