• The developmental process of the adventive embryos which were formed in liquid medium from single-cells originated from cultured tissues of carrot root were studied. Although a few differences in the developmental process between the adventive embryos formed in the tissue culture and the ovular embryos were observed, it was conjectured that the differences were caused by the physical or chemical conditions of the medium. And, it was concluded that the developmental process of the adventive embryos was in essential considered as the same as that of the ovular embryos derived from the fertilized egg.
