This study was conducted to clarify the effective rainfall and the net water requirement in the ordinal year or the design year by using the irrigation simulation of water balance. And the study areas where were selected is belong to climatic type zone of Setouchi Sea Side, where have less precipitation than other zone in Japan. Judging from the results obtained, it is found that the effective rainfall in the ordinal year from about 278mm to 283mm and the net water requirement from about 560mm to 567mm. On the other hand, it is found that the effective rainfall in the design year is from about 230mm to 248mm and the net water requirement from about 608mm to 627mm. Therefore, it is found that the effective rainfall in the design year is less than other climatic type zone and the net water requirement is more than other zone.
