A coordinate system for thermodynamic states is developed. This coordinate system is rationalized for the integration of heat under a 'scaling' transformation, and its basis is formed both with the infinitesimal transformation of 'scaling' and with adiabatic vector fields that are invariant under the 'scaling' transformation. With this coordinate system, we are able to make an explicit formulation of the absolute temperature and the entropy for the thermodynamic phase.
