Precise localization is important for rover navigation on small planetary bodies such as asteroids and comets. In this paper, we propose an effective localization method of rover exploring on the small body surface. It uses range measurement between a rover and a mother spacecraft which has delivered the rover to the surface. The measurements are conducted repeatedly and the rover absolute position is calculated by the estimation process. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by numerical simulations assuming a sized small body with the size less than a kilometer.
