Shenzhou-6 spacecraft has finished its five-day mission on Oct. 2005 and declared a "milestone" in China's space technology development and its space experiments with human participation. This paper presents an outline of Shenzhou-6, includes its task, mission, preparation, design, verification and the journey in space. The facts and figures of Shenzhou-6 are also described in detail. In the description of the design improvement, more than ten aspects of the improvements are given. For the verification experiments, the procedures of verification experiments for the spacecraft in different phases of the journey, the training of the astronaut and the emergency response plans are presented. The overall journey process and the experiments during the five-day-long journey are also described.
