With greater stress laid on the roles of school-nurse in school education, they are expected to do a "new role", in addition to duties they have performed in the past. It is supposed that the new role of teaching health (health education) contributes much to the fulfilment of duties and the advancement of their careers, by showing their ability as a specialist. This study aims at making clear discouraging and encouraging factors in undertaking the new role, by looking into their understanding and acceptance of it. This inverstigation show that the teachers' understanding and acceptance of the new role are affected by psychological variables, and that they are ready to be reflected in their own faculty, enterprise and ambition. The key words for the promotion of the new role are "pursuit of speciality" and "cooperation among teachers".
