概要

• A history of the research on insect diversity in the Korean peninsula is briefly reviewed, with discussion of the current status of insect survey and systematics. General information on insect collections in Korea is given. Some results of entomological expeditions conducted by several European countries including Hungary and Poland in the northern part of the Korean peninsula since 1970 are summarized.
