This study is a statistic analysis and examination of recognition of work-sharing based on a survey held by Aichi Employers' Association on December 5,2002 in order to promote work sharing systems with labor and management. There are four types of work sharing systems in our country, Urgent shelter type, Employment measure type for middle aged, Expansion of employment type, and Job diversification type. This survey demonstrates a fact that both labor unions and employers would not like to take any work sharing system. However, after closer examination, labor unions show some interest in Employment measure type for middle aged and Job diversification type. On the other hand, employers show general interest in all four types of work sharing. In order for any work sharing system to prevail in a society, some agreement must go beyond the interests of employers and employees, sharing economic and labor risks.
