Fifteen female rabbits which were divided into three groups were used in this study. Amniotic membrane with or without heparin was used to cover experimentally injured uterine horns. Four weeks later all animals underwent second laparotomy and adhesion formation was examined. Our data showed that amniotic membrane plus heparin was an effective combination in reducing adhesion formation.
