• Fatigue during a prolonged upright standing and recovery from the fatigue are usually experienced in our daily living. Fatigue and recovery in standing should be influenced by several factors, such as activity in antigravity muscles, visual, vestibular and proprioceptive righting reflexes, psychological state and etc. The time course offatigue and recovery after a short rest was studied by using stabilometry and several parameters of sway path of the center of gravity during standing were analized in normals. It was concluded that two phasic recovery time course of being quick and retarded after a rest should exist in normal human standing.
