• An important feature of the traditional art of managing the flow of materials in enterprises is the division of the responsibility into several functional subsystems. A major disadvantage of this method is that sometimes optimization efforts remain confine to the individual subsystems. Logistics can help us to avoid these effects. There are two different concepts for managing the flow of material and goods in productions, which are the concept of material stock optimization and the concept of material flow optimization. We shall state the implications of this theorem.
