In interpreting the Rorschach, one is interested in how the response, or percept, is formed, the reasons for the response, and its content. The basic assumption is that the way individuals form their perceptions is related to the way they generally organize and structure stimuli in their environments. The Rorschach Test presents an ambiguous stimulus to which the person may respond as he or she wishes. Because the stimulus is ambiguous and does not demand a specific response, it is assumed that the individual projects his or her personality onto the stimulus and thus reveals something about himself or herself. However, there are some problems with The Rorschach Test. These are probrems of the validity and reliability of the test results. In this report, I will try to discuss a little about this issue of the test.
