In this paper, structure of research of the present worldwide overseas ethnic Chinese economy is examined. Structure of research refers to research areas and analytical angles of view, from which we look at issues. Three research areas are important in the research. The first is in terms of mainland Chinese economy and Chinese outflow to other countries and areas, including Hong Kong, Macau and Tauwan. Here, outflow includes the outward movement of people, goods, money, capital, service, information, companies and so on. The second is in terms of ethnic Chinese economy in their residing countries and areas, and ethic Chinese outflow to other countries and areas, or the world. The third is in terms of ethnic Chinese economy in these new residing countries and areas, or the world, and ethnic Chinese outflow to mainland China. Adding the analytical angles of view to look at an issue as a national or an ethnic issue and as a social class issue, at least three new analytical angles of view should be added in the research. The first is (1)to look at from the angle of China, (2)to look at from the angle of ethnic Chinese residing countries and areas, and (3)to look at from the angle of the next ethnic Chinese residing countries and areas, or the world. The second is (1)to look at from the angle of globalization, (2)to look at from the angle of regionalism, (3)to look at from the angle of nationalism and (4)to look at from the angle of localism. The third is (1)to look at from the angle of generalization, (2)to look at from the angle of specialization and (3)to look at from the angle of individualization. These various analytical angles of view are very complicated and sometimes intricate, and have a multi-layer structure.
