学習場面におけるライバルの有無に影響する要因 : 競争と学習に対する態度に注目して

The purpose of this study was to investigate factors that affected the existence of rivals on learning situation among the high-school students and to account for the relevance between those factors and rival cognition or absence. 685 high school students answered 1 or 2 questionnaires of the following 3 types; 1) rival cognition, 2) rival absence, and 3) achievement motive, fear of success motive, competitiveness, personal development competitive attitude, and learning attitude. A discriminant analysis was performed using 3) as predictors of rival existence. It was clearly shown that personal development competitive attitude and learning attitude were more suitable for discriminating between rival presence and absence. A correlation analysis between 3) and 1) or 2) revealed that higher competitiveness was related to lower cognition of mutual action with rivals and that low learning attitude and high fear of success had a large effect on rival absence. These results suggested that belief that one can achieve of personal development competitive attitude and high worth on learning were necessary to have a rival.
