The aim of studying Human Relations in Industry exists in developing productive (democratic) relations among people in the organizations. To make and keep an individual productive, he must often test his theory-in-use. When one is defensive to himself and realities around him, his pattern of learning remains that of a single loop. Organizations snmetimes show the same symptoms of dissociaion from reality as individuals do. These are interpreted as indifference to reality (red-tapism), distortion of reality (Groupthink), and discarding reality (scientism). Each of these symptoms can lead organizations to fail in achieving their own learning-innovations.
