• This research is to find out a sign of vandalism in common spaces of high-rise housing estate. We can find out the signs through the observation of three housing estate types. As the results of questionnaires on the living conditions of households, we can find out that almost all of the households are confronted with vandalism in common spaces, for example, scribbling on the walls, breakage of bulletin boards, lights and glasses, etc. To prevent vandalism in common spaces of housing area, the surveillance and the territorial formation are very important. We must carefully design the sight plan and the common spaces of buildings from those view points.
