PC-8001を用いたガスクロマトグラフィーのオンラインデータ収集・処理システムについて

Recently there have appeared many analytical instruments which incorporate a certain microcomputer. Though one can easily process data obtained by the microcomputer, those instruments have some problems. For example, they can not be used together with other instruments, because the programs to fit the function of the computer are not always available. To solve the above problems, a study was made to develop a compact and low-cost data-processing system by using ready-made personal computer. The softwared needed in the system are for collecting the data, setting up the header, smoothing data points to make calculation of the retention time easily, and the printing-out of chromatogram so that softwares can exist in the system as an independent subroutine and be carried out through a management program as purpose-calls. This basic system, in which NEC PC-8001 is used as a central hardware, is formed mainly with the Basic Language. A comparison between our system and a commercially-availabel system was made in the processing of the gas-chromatograms of various alcohol mixtures and showed that both system had almost the same accuracy. Also shown in the paper are some discussions on the detection of noise and on the usage of so-called interface.
