• The reflection spectrum of RDP (RbH_2PO_4) is studied in the region from 6 to 12 eV with polarized light. The spectrum is found to consist of four bands A_0, A_1, A_2 and A_3 in the case of E‖c, and of four band A_0, A_1, A_2 and B in the case of E⊥c, with the strong dependence of the A_3 and B on the polarization of incident light. These bands correspond well to those of KDP, so that the numerical analysis by use of molecular orbitals is possible in the same way as that of KDP. The absorption spectrum of RDP is also studied in the region from 5.5 to 6.5 eV. It is found that the fundamental absorption appears at about 6.1 eV, which is lower than that of KDP by about 1 eV.
