In this paper, the presentation of the dead in exemplum, miracula and miraculious in west European middle age is analyzed and compared with the Feuermann motif. The Feuermann is a folklore motif, which are sometimes found in German speak environment and man said, that is the dead who are wandering in this world with glowing body because of his sin. He cannot go into the heaven, until he gets absolution. From the original framework of Christianity, there were no idea of the strong dead, which go out from his grave and wander in this world. Originally this presentation comes from folk culture. While Christianity settled his religious framework in middle age, he took the folk presentation and logic of salvation into his beliefs heart. If you read some exemplum, miracula and miraculious written by monch for exemple, you must find some description about the dead or ghosts. It seems to mean that religious experts accepted this folk presentation in own world. And after its concretion, this religious idea was taken into the folk culture again and the Feuermann was horn.
