As far as medical ethics is based on the liberlsm agreed between rational and self-conscious beings, it cannot ground in principle the right for animals, fetuses, and future generations. If we receive the proxy theory of Feinberg which excuses or the interests of beasts and unborn babies, their rights can be protected. In addiion to this we concern for other beings as if their affairs were our owns and do imperfect duties without reckoning our rewards, so the right for unborn enerations can be justified. When medical ethics accounts for this concern and combines with environmental ethics that cares for furure people, it will be forced to shift to the 'bioethics" in a correct sense which deals with relations between various generations.
