Pulsed power is defined as the electric power and energy which have high-density and high peak values. For generating this power, there are a capacitive system and an inductive system. A magnetic pulse compression circuit is a type of the former system. In this research, the 3 stages magnetic pulse compression circuit was developed and the evaluation was made. The nanocrystalline magnetic material FINMET (FT-1H) was used as the core of saturable inductor. The first step of pulse current width was turned out to be about 20μs and the second step was about 10μs. Finally the third step of the one was reduced by about 7μs thus we gain ed about 3 time as much pulse compression in this circuit.
