The purpose of this study was performed to investigate the relationships between the users' evaluation of the care management by public health nurses and the psychological factors of the care givers. The subjects of the study were care givers for whom care management was provided by public health nurses. The subjects (care givers) were requested to answer a questionnaire sent by mail. The questionnaire was collected from 413 of 621 subjects (return rate: 66.5%). Among the 413 responses, 356 were usable for data analyses. The results were that the care givers with higher self-efficacy, the care givers tended to feel that "the care management service was introduced and modified in a user-oriented manner," "reliable talk and actions were always available," and "the care manager service allowed us to live independent lives in our own way." And the care givers who obtained higher subjective satisfaction were more likely to feel that "the care manager service allowed us to live independent lives in our own way." It will be necessary to more deeply understand the care users' psychological characteristics related with care management to provide more specialized care management.
