In the National Curriculum Standards 'Gymnastics' has been renamed 'Exercise for Releasing Body and Mind'. It is comprised of two types of exercise which are 'Exercise for Physical Release' and 'Exercise for Physical Fitness'. The purpose of this study is to extract fundamental knowledge for appropriate physical activities for 'Exercise for Releasing the Body and Mind'. The information used in this study was obtained by a questionnaire completed by students. In the questionnaire, I asked students about the suitable activities for Exercise for Physical Release and Exercise for Physical Fitness in the course "Gymnastics and Fitness: Theory and Practice" in T-University. The suitable activities suggested by the students are as follows: <Exercise for Physical Release) Body Awareness: PNF Stretching, Pair Stretching. Body Conditioning: Warming Up with Music, Algorithm Gymnastics, PNF Stretching. Interchange between Friends: Categories, Human Knot, Blind Walk. (Exercise for Physical Fitness) Flexibility : PNF Stretching, Pair Stretching. Agility : Toe Fencing, Double Dutch, Elbow and Knee Touch. Strength : Onbu Janken. Endurance : Long Rope Skipping. Combined Physical Fitness : Double Dutch, Pair Radio Gymnastics 1. These results show that some activities are suited for both 'Exercise for Physical Release' and 'Exercise for Physical Fitness'.
