• The present state of paleontological fossil collections in the Laboratory of Paleontology, Institute of Technology Bandung, is reported. This laboratory has continued fossil collection activities in various regions of the Indonesian Archipelago since the 1950's. The present collections include a variety of vertebrate and invertebrate taxa, large mammals including Homo (Java man) forming the core part of it. These collections can be utilized in various paleontological research projects but paucity of reference specimens of extant species, unavailability of relevant literatures, and limited budget constrain such attempts of us.
