Oreamnos, the only North American genus assigned to the "Rupicaprini, " is well documented from deposits ∿40,000 years old and younger throughout the western and southwestern United States and from a single site in western Canada. We describe a horncore of cf. Oreamnos harringtoni from the Irvingtonian deposits in Porcupine Cave, Colorado. This specimen represents the earliest form of Oreamnos known and the only described non-ovibovine bovid of the Irvingtonian. It also extends geographic range of fossil Oreamnos into Colorado. The horncore we refer to Oreamnos is from sediments that are at least 365,000 years old, extending the chronological range of Oreamnos into the Irvingtonian Land Mammal Age.
