The crystal structure of p-bromobenzamide has been determined from two-dimensional X-ray data. Crystals are triclinic with two molecules in a unit cell of dimensions a=11.16, b=5.03, c=7.13A, α=103.1, β=102.25, γ=96.3°, space group P1^^-. It is found that hydrogen bonds connect pair of molecules into centrosymmetrical dimers which are themselves linked by further hydrogen bonds into endless chains.
