• Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) has been evolved to a large sized reactor for the reduction of power generation cost and ABWR (Advanced BWR) is the latest BWR which was developed in the joint research of Japanese utilities and GE/Hitachi/Toshiba. The improvement and development of BWR is still continued in the same direction as ABWR-II. While, the small and medium sized BWR concepts are recently issued according to the social needs and the change of social environment. Furthermore, the reduce moderation BWR concepts are studied as one of the countermeasure of nuclear fuel cycle issue. This paper describes the overview of the development and the evolution of RWR.
