The Bayu-Undan Development Project is a project to develop the Bayu-Undan gas/condensate field in the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA) located between Timor-Leste and the north west coast of Australia. After extraction and offshore offloading of LPG and condensate from the field, natural gas will be transported to a liquefaction terminal built in Darwin, northern Australia, by undersea pipeline for the production and sale of LNG. Tokyo Gas officially joined the project in June 2003, and will be seeking to maximize the benefits to be reaped through participation in the LNG value chain, from upstream to downstream.
