都市開発に伴う集団的受信障害対策としての四日市,本牧方式の有効性の検証と集団負担方式との比較研究

Cable Television (CATV) has become a necessity for urban dwellers who suffer television signal reception problems. However, the individual cable system can easily become obsolete because of subsequent reception problems caused by new high-rise buidings. Therefore, the collective compensation method initiated by local government to construct CATV system covering the entire municipal district with the financial support by concerned builders would be feasible from the viewpoint of urban infrastructure. Yokkaichi City Government has recently enacted new planning regulations to cover its central district with advanced CATV system. The same idea has been adapted for Honmoku New Town of Yokohama. Yokkaichi and Honmoku both present preliminary ideas of a collective compensation method. Comparative analysis is made in order to scrutinize the feasibility and effectiveness of these methods.
