Japanese folding Paper has spread to the world for playing or an art. And now, it is also used for rehabilitation and structure analysis. Though Japanese folding Paper is a Japanese traditional culture, it has been recognized as a kid's playing. We think that it is because the lack of the exercise media, which expresses how to fold the paper complicatedly. To improve this situation, we have developed the navigation system of Japanese folding Paper named PCML-Navigator, which expresses how to fold the paper by using 3D-CG real-time animations and voice navigation based on the speech synthesis. The scenario of PCML-Navigator (3D-CG animations and speech text) can be written by the tag-based script language named PCML (Paper Craft Making Language), like a HTML. To represent the complicated paper folding by using 3D-CG real-time animations, PCML-Navigator implemented innovative collision detection algorithm we have developed (Named Cyber Radar). PCML-Navigator also provides the capability to fold the virtual huge paper, impracticable paper size in the real world, for paper craft artist. In this paper, we describe the detail of PCML and PCML-Navigator.
