We have been developing a system for automatically producing video content as television programs, directly from a plain text script written on a word processing type of user interface. On this interface, the user writes text lines to be spoken by computer graphics characters and simple actions they perform, and also attaches photos and move clips. The system then takes over and automatically produces video content for a television program. The key to this process is the software, called an automatic program production engine, which adds directions to the plain text script written by the user and then produces CG(Computer Graphics)-based video content in real time. This paper describes the system and explains the process through which video content as a TV program is automatically produced from a plain text script written by word processing. Two applications using this system, called "TV Creator" and "TVML Player mini", are introduced.
