Changes in the amounts of extracellular cellulase components of Trichoderma viride with the cultural age was surveyed by subjecting them to the two steps of chromatography on Amberlite CG-50 and DEAE Sephadex A-50 columns. It was found that extent of the multiplicity of cellulase components increased first with the cultural age of the fungus but decreased again at later stages. The possibility with which the multiplicity change would occur was discussed.
