This paper deals with scheduling observation equipments on parallel survey projects. The objective function is to minimize the total cost as operation and procurement and transportation. Three sub-optimization methods that genetic algorithm, tabu search and simulated annealing algorithm are applied to this problem. Numerical results are obtained, and excellent results are obtained by using GA.
