Endoparasitic fly, Exorista sorbillans larvae were reared on a meridic diet in vitro. Insect cell culture medium MGM-450 with 10% fetal bovine serum worked well as the basic medium. The fly larvae could survive for long periods in liquid media. Addition of 20-hydroxyecdysone to the basic medium increased the rate of molting ; however, supplementation of Bombyx mori hemolymph was needed to complete the larval development of the fly.
