実験的歯の移動に対するハリ通電刺激の効果に関する病理組織学的研究

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of EAP for the tooth movement histopathologically. One hundred forty male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing about 190g were used. Orthodontic elastic bands were inserted between the crown of the first and second molars of the upper jaw, using the Waldo's method. The animals were sacrificed 1,3,5,7 and 14 days after the insertion of an orthodontic elastic. EAP stimulation (50Hz, 5ms) was delivered to a needing point which was fitted for human Ho-Ku for 30 minutes. The results were as follows : 1. Changes of periodontal tissues on the effects of EAP were little difference between the normal control groups with and without EAP.2. The hyaline degeneration on the pressure side was observed in experimental groups without EAP for orthodontic tooth movement until 5 days after tooth movement. It was absorbed on 7 days after tooth movement by undermining bone resorption. 3. Part of the hyaline degeneration and semihyalinized area were created on the pressure side in experimental groups with orthodontic tooth movement and EAP until 3 days after tooth movement. They were resolved on 5 days after tooth movement, and then divectly bone resorption was begun. 4. In all experimental periods, it was active that resorption of the alveoli on the pressure side, bone formation on the tension side and the remodeling of bone on both sides caused tooth movement with experimental groups with orthodontic tooth movement and EAP.These findings suggested that the EAP stimulation weakens specially the hyaline degeneration at initial response, furthermore promotes and enhances the bone remodeling. Consequently, EAP was found to be very effective in orthodontic tooth movement.
